Sire: BALOUBET DU ROUET
BALOUBET DU ROUET, the Selles Francais stallion who dominated the jumping scene for years at the turn of the millennium with rider Rodrigo Pessoa.
This champion achieved an unprecedented three-in-a-row in the FEI Jumping World Cup™ and then ensured immortality by winning Individual Olympic gold in Athens 2004. They came close to a fourth straight win in the FEI Jumping World Cup only to be pipped into second place. Incredibly they placed 3rd and 2nd in the following years as well.
Baloubet was renowned for his balance, suppleness, jumping skills and speed. He was known to be easy to handle and rather quiet. Rodrigo praised his intelligence, claiming Baloubet never needed explaining anything twice.
Baloubet was not only a star of the competition world, but he also became one of jumpings star sires, and was named ‘leading sire’ by the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses in 2012.
His son Palloubet d’Halong is said to be the most expensive show jumper ever sold, the gelding selling for 13.5 million Euros.
Damsire: ARGENTINUS
2005 HANOVERIAN STALLION OF THE YEAR and OLDENBURG SIRE OF THE CENTURY, Argentinus is one of the most famous and influential breeding stallions in history. He has produced numerous Grand Prix SJ and Dressage horses including several World Champions! He is also an equally successful sire of sires and dam sire, a rare and special quality of Argentinus. His State Premium daughter Anabell (dam of Centavos) is one of his most successful and prolific breeding mares.
Argentinus relatives are renown for not only their talent for sport, but their outstanding temperaments.
2nd Damsire: BEACHBOY
Born in 1983 in Holland, Beach Boy is by the internationally famous Selle Francais, Zeus (Nurzeus) whose offspring have earned more than 3.5 million DM and out of the Dutch Warmblood mare Sefane by the equally famous Lucky Boy XX. His impressive jumping pedigree has been confirmed by his performance and his breeding results both in Germany and Sweden.
Oldenburg licensed and tested in 1986 in Medingen Germany. In Sweden he is the only stallion to have an equally high BLUP index of 141 for both jumping and gaits, which added to an index for conformation of 128 gives him a total BLUP index of 137.
Beach Boy was a very refined individual with conformation scores of 8s and 9s. Standing 170 cm (16.3h) he was a model hunter with great gaits and spectacular jumping technique. Despite his breeding being limited to fresh semen (since his semen did not transport or freeze) therefore a limited supply of progeny, Beach Boy is classed as an elite international stallion, sire of eight approved sons, 239 competitive offspring.
