Escudo I x Argentinus x Bariton
Magnificent Euro Sport Centavos combines some of Europe’s most successful and desirable performance bloodlines. His sire Escudo I, one of the stars of the State Stud Celle, was himself a successful International Grand Prix show jumper. He is now a consistent producer of international level show jumping, dressage, show hunter and event horses. Escudo I has also sired many exciting stallion sons such as El Bundy, Earl & Embassy.
Centavos’s dam is the State Premium mare Anabell. Most famous of Anabell’s progeny is the State Stud Celle stallion, San Brasil. San Brasil won the Winergy Prize for best jumper at the 1999 Stallion Licensing, and continued to place second in jumping at the 2000 Stallion Performance Test.
Centavos’s dam sire is the phenomenal Argentinus, famous the world over for producing jumping and dressage horses of the highest calibre. In the WBFSH rankings for show jumpers, Argentinus is one of the most represented sires. He is also dam sire of former world no. 1 ranked show jumper, Lantinus.
The second dam sire of Centavos is Bariton. Bariton was a very important and popular sire of his time. It was said that many top stables had a Bariton under saddle. Bariton sired among others, Leslie Lenehan-Burr's 1986 World Cup Show JumpingChampion -McLain.
EuroSportCentavos is a truly outstanding young stallion. He has it all, power, presence, looks, temperament, movement and absolutely breathtaking jumping ability. We believe his jumping style and scope is world class. He is a very exciting sire for New Zealand, to produce future stars across the disciplines.
Centavos commenced his competition career in October 2008. He shows amazing scope, technique and carefulness over fences. His rideability and attitude are also second to none.
Centavos's first crop of foals were born in the 2008/2009 season. They are exceptional quality. All are very typey with wonderful movement and friendly inquisitive natures. These foals all have bay to black coats, and many with flashy white markings.
