 EURO SPORT CENTAVOS
"Fantastic mind with amazing scope and superb jumping technique"

2004 Black/Brown 172cm Hanoverian

Escudo I x Argentinus x Bariton

Magnificent Euro Sport Centavos combines some of Europe’s most successful and desirable performance bloodlines. His sire Escudo I, one of the stars of the State Stud Celle, was named 2009 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year. He was also a successful International Grand Prix show jumper, and is now a consistent producer of international level show jumping, dressage, show hunter and event horses.

The 2011/12 season was Centavos’ 3rd season in competition. He had a fantastic season with almost always clear rounds, and wins and placings to 1.35m including Horse of the Year, Nationals and South Island Champs.

From Euro Sport Centavos' first crop of foals (2008/09), his daughter Fohn Friday, became the 2010 Champion Inhand Warmblood 3 yrs and Under at the Canterbury Royal Show. His foals are very typey. They are athletic, with natural jumping ability, excellent toplines, and willing temperaments. The oldest are now under saddle and are very exciting.

Euro Sport Centavos’ dam sire is the phenomenal Argentinus, famous the world over for producing jumping and dressage horses of the highest calibre.

Argentinus was named 2005 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year, and the Oldenburg Sire of the Century.

Euro Sport Centavos’ dam SPS Anabell, carries the highest ranking for mares in the Hanoverian Stud Book. She is full sister to 1.60m Show Jumper Addy the Eagle. Another full sister produced the State Premium mare Identify, who is dam of the 2009 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing Champion, Fairbanks. At the auction following the approvals, Fairbanks was the sales topper at 250,000 euros. SPS Anabell’s progeny include:

Barring was the Stallion Licensing Champion in 1986, going on to establish himself and his progeny as leaders of show jumping in the 1999 FN breeding value rating. The Warendorf state stallion Barring was noted as the most accomplished son of Bariton in terms of heredity. Bariton was a very important and popular sire of his time. He sired approved stallions and top level show jumpers including Leslie Lenehan-Burr's 1986 World Cup Show Jumping Champion - McLain. Bariton progeny were extremely popular among top european show jumping riders during the 1970’s and 1980’s.

Euro Sport Centavos is a truly outstanding young stallion. He has it all, power, presence, looks, attitude, rideability, movement and phenomenal jumping ability. He is a very exciting sire for New Zealand, to produce future stars across the disciplines.
